You’ll have a good level of space knowledge - you’re already working in the space industry and are looking to take your entrepreneurial mindset and business to the next level.

What can you expect from Leo?

Our criteria 

To apply for the Leo programme, you must:  

  • Have a UK registered business and intend to operate in the UK 

  • Be an entrepreneur in the space sector, in a sector using space technology, or exploring how you can enter the space sector  

  • Have proof of concept in place, ideally one of the below:  

    • Grant or seed funding from a third party (not friends or family) 

    • Customers or users for your product/service 

    • Commercial revenue 

  • Have a desire to create a growth business or social enterprise, not a lifestyle business  

  • Spend at least 50% of your time working on this business

What You Will Get 

Leo is a six-month programme designed to fundamentally change the way that you grow and lead your business. Working in depth with our experts over a sustained period, you will build a high-growth, scalable space company and cement relationships with an amazing cohort of likeminded people.  

This six-month, fully-funded programme includes:   

  • Welcome Boot Camp to introduce you to the programme, set the pace and for you to get to know your fellow cohort members 

  • Access to Canvas – a cutting-edge business growth tool to help you prioritise your focus areas 

  • Fortnightly world-class enablement 1:1’s with entrepreneurial growth and technical commercialisation enablers 

  • Fortnightly interactive workshops targetting areas that you as the entrepreneur need to move you and your business to the next level 

  • Acceler8 - Mid-programme in person get together with the cohort, funders and wider support eco-system designed to propel your business to the next level 

  • Regular Tech Drop-In's with our technical enablers 

  • Regular Pitching sessions with our enablement team to ensure you are pitch ready 

  • Networking socials with alumni, current cohorts, mentors and partners – an opportunity to really grow your network in the space sector 

  • Access to our expert mentors that support in areas such as raising VC investment, product development road mapping, IP, leadership development and much more 

  • The Orbit Series – deep dive sessions in an intimate group setting focused on a specialist area 

  • Access to our national roadshow of Trajectory events, including pitching to corporate stakeholders and investors across the UK 

  • Free UKspace start-up membership

Application and interview process 

  • The next Leo programme will start in September 2024.

  • If you are eligible for Leo, we will send you an invitation to book an interview  

  • You must be available to complete a live video interview on Microsoft Teams. The interview will last 20 minutes, and you will be required to prepare a short pitch with no slides 

  • Our panel will review your application and let you know the outcome within 10 working days 

  • Please note that you must be available for our Boot Camp.
