Our Criteria

  • Be an early stage business – anywhere from idea stage through to proof of concept.

  • Be either in the space sector, in another sector using space technology, or exploring how you can enter the space sector.

  • Have a desire to start a growth business/social enterprise, not a lifestyle business or research project.

  • You may have some early revenue of customer engagement, but this is not a requirement.

  • You, as the entrepreneurial leader, are based in the UK.

  • Explore is designed for people with an early-stage space business idea. Whether you’re just starting out or have taken your first steps, if you're looking to develop your concept into a real, viable business — this programme is for you.

  • No. If your idea is space-related and you’re serious about building a business, we welcome applications from founders of all backgrounds and disciplines.

  • Yes, as the programme is funded by the UK Space Agency and focused on ventures contributing to the UK space ecosystem, as well as having some compulsory in-person elements, this programme is only open to applicants based in the UK.

  • This programme is fully funded by the UK Space Agency, so there is no cost to you directly to participate.

    As your place represents a significant investment from the UK Space Agency, we ask that all participants commit fully and actively engage throughout the programme.

  • Explore is designed to fit around the reality of building a business. You'll need to commit to a 2-day Bootcamp on the 23rd and 24th July in London, plus an average of 4–6 hours per week throughout the programme for coaching, mentoring, and learning.

  • We focus on people, not just pitch decks. Explore combines practical business tools with mindset and leadership development — starting from the ground up to help you build strong foundations for a successful venture. Whether you're refining an early idea or taking your first steps into entrepreneurship, we give you what you need to grow with resilience, purpose, and long-term focus.
